This Week: Free Hot Dogs, Frozen Margs, Olympics Viewing Parties

Updated: Apr 15, 2018

Welcome to DC's source for all the things you should be eating, drinking and doing in the district. Here's where to eat, drink, and be in DC this week.

Valentine's Day is right around the corner - whether you're single, taken or somewhere in between, check out my roundup on DrinkDC featuring where to eat, drink and celebrate the best (worst?) holiday.

Brunch at Roofer's Union and check out Chef Jenn Flynn's latest editions to the menu including pork trotter tots and a new waffle section with your choice of sweet (macerated strawberries with vanilla bean, rum whipped cream) or savory (fried chicken thigh, over easy eggs) options. 11 AM - 2:30 PM.

Line up for free hot dogs at The Pig on Feb. 9 from 11:30 AM - 3 PM, they'll be giving away 100 of their Boss Hogg Dogs - a frankfurter wrapped in hickory smoked bacon and topped with foie gras aioli, smoked gouda cheese, cider pickled relish and cognac mustard.

On Feb. 7, ChurchKey is hosting a tap takeover featuring Perennial Artisan Ales - sip on 20 different beers including stouts, pilsners and Abraxas. Free to attend, beer for purchase.

We know it's cold, but frozen margaritas are always a good idea - head to the Mayahuel Cocina Mexicana in Woodley Park which officially opens on Feb. 8 for fun frozen drinks and other Mexican-inspired drinks including palomas, infused tequila and sangrias.

The Winter Olympics officially kickoff with the Opening Ceremony on Friday - don your Red, White and Blue and cheer on Team USA at these bars and restaurants with viewing parties and specials.
