This Week: Milk Bar Specialty Items, Summertime Cocktails, Wine Social, Rose All Day.



Eat.

Head to Milk Bar's newest flag ship location in Logan Circle for exclusive menu items offered for one week only. From 6/27 to 7/3, snag specialty baked goods including: German Chocolate Jimbo cake, slices and truffles, Black Sesame and Strawberry Bomb bread, Citrus Cookies with Lemon Granola and Kitchen Sink Quiche available Friday, 6/29 only. Be sure to check out the menu each week!


Beloved ramen joint, Toki Underground, recently unveiled new summer dishes to complement its lineup of tried and true menu items. Savor refreshing plates like Avocado and Beet Summer Noodles, Shiobuta (pork belly served DIY lettuce wrap style with all of the accoutrements), Leeks with Leek Vin, Yaki Soba, Asparagus poached in dashi, and Salmon Steamed Buns. Pair them with two new summer cocktails - the CalPina Colada, a fun variation of the traditional pina Colada; and a mango margarita.


Take in panoramic city views during Sunday brunch at the Rosewood’s recently launched rooftop brunch program. Enjoy brunch buffet items including Brioche French Toast, Spinach and Comte Quiche and Buttermilk Chicken in addition to Bloody Marys and Mimosas. Offered every Sunday from 11:30am - 2:30pm.


Celebrate National Ceviche Day at downtown Mexican restaurant MXDC. Through June 30, taste three variations of the refreshing seafood dish: Shrimp with chipotle, smoked peppers, tomato, lemon and corn; Rockfish Aguachile with cucumber, chile pequin, red onion and citrus, and Spanish Octopus with jalapeno, cantaloupe, and mango chili de arbol.


Drink.

Roofers Union will host the 3rd Annual War of the Rosés - be a part of the action and help determine the winner from Wine Director, Ezra Rosenberg’s selections. Bottles of the selections will be on special for half-price and by the glass - the most popular rose will earn a coveted spot on the wine list at both Roofers Union and Jug & Table. June 27, 5pm to close.


Sip on cocktails from Le Diplomate’s L’Apero’s program - available Monday through Friday from 4-6pm. Offerings include house wines for $6, a variety of beers, frose and other specialty cocktails including the Poil de Carotte with Aquavit, Chamomile Liqueur, Lemon, Carrot, and Fennel.
