This Week: Summer-Inspired Menus, Pisco Month, Bastille Day
Jardenea - The farm-to-fork restaurant at the Melrose Georgetown Hotel recently unveiled a new summer menu with a focus on regional flavors. Try new seasonally-inspired dishes including a Summer Mango Gazpacho (jalapeno lime creme fraiche, jumbo lump crab), Maine Lobster BLT Salad (bibb lettuce, melted tomatoes, haricot verts, crispy pancetta, avocado puree), Cherry Wood Smoked Duck (caramelized onion and thyme pancake, crusted pistachio, stone fruit compote), Pan Seared Wild Salmon (coconut risotto, fresh pineapple, citrus gremolata, lemon preserve, Appalachian corn) and Coconut Panna Cotta for dessert.
Cool off with a new lineup of summer soups from DC’s oldest traditional Spanish restaurant, Taberna del Alabardero. The selections change daily and are available Monday through Friday: Monday - Gazpacho Andaluz (Traditional tomato gazpacho with cucumber, red and green peppers); Tuesday - Ajoblanco Malagueño (Garlic and almond soup with grapes and olive oil); Wednesday - Sopa de Zanahoria y Naranja (Carrot and orange soup with fresh orange and mint garnish); Thursday - Sopa de Tomate y Sandía (Tomato and watermelon soup with pan seared watermelon garnish); Friday - Salmorejo Cordobés (Traditional tomato and bread puree with Serrano ham and hard boiled egg garnish). Priced at $13 each.
Eat new summer-inspired Georgian dishes at Supra’s recently opened patio. Seasonal additions to the menu include Satatsuri Salad with grilled asparagus, cucumber arugula, sunflower seeds and creamy guda dressing; Roasted Vegetables Saidumio with grilled red and yellow peppers, eggplant, and minted khacho; Chicken Makvaishi - a half chicken with blackberry sauce; and Soup Tsivi, chilled yogurt soup with cucumber, beet, radish, and fresh herbs.

Enjoy the last week of JulyPA at all Pizzeria Paradiso locations. Through July 14th, enjoy a seasonal pizza with one of 50+ draft IPAs selected by Beverage Director Drew McCormick - the specially created pizza is made with peaches, apricots, ricotta and prosciutto - a perfect pairing for IPAs.
July = Pisco Month. Head to Service Bar where they’ll be partnering with popular food truck, Peruvian Brothers, to bring Peruvian fare and Pisco cocktails every Monday of the month. Sink your teeth into Peruvian sandwiches (like The Chicharhon made with salted pork tenderloin) and empanadas (beef, chicken, spinach and cheese) while sipping on one of seven Pisco cocktails from the Service Bar team.
