Touring NoMa's Newest Apartment Building
Sweeping panoramic rooftop views, arcade games and a fusion of vintage and modern vibes... no, I’m not talking about the newest bar to hit DC, I’m referring to what could be your future home. One of the more impressive apartments to recently open, The Batley, located at 1270 4th St, NE is stacked with all the amenities you could ever want in a home. I recently toured the new space and everything from the design elements in the welcoming reception area to the thoughtful touches throughout the building design was curated with residents in mind.
Dining + Drinking
We’re all about the food here, and rest assured, if you lived at The Batley, you’d have your choice of top restaurants and food destinations within walking distance...I’m talking about heavy hitters like St. Anselm, Stellina Pizzeria and Coconut Club. Not to mention all of the amazing vendors at Union Market (District Doughnut, Philly Wing Fry, the District Fish Wife, Neopol Savory Smokery and more) and old-school Italian market and sandwich counter, A. Litteri, anchor the radius surrounding The Batley.
Next Level Shared Spaces:
Need to work from home but don’t want the distractions in your apartment unit? The Co-working Lounge makes for a great place to focus without having to actually leave the building. Whether you’re looking for solo space or need a meeting area with colleagues, the lounge features everything from private offices to collaboration booths. It even has a conference room for private calls and fireside seating for a more relaxed and open meeting space.
Also...the wall Scrabble makes for a fun quick break from work.
It’s all fun and games at the Penthouse Clubroom...literally. From skee-ball lanes to a vintage arcade machine to a full wall-size version of sudoku, there are plenty of options to get your competitive side on - did I mention there’s also shuffleboard? If you’re looking for a more chill atmosphere, the communal seating options provide a great hangout spot - there’s also an 85’’ Smart 4K HDTV for movie nights, game watches and Bachelor/Bachelorette viewing parties.
From the views and communal seating areas to the semi-private grilling stations and the heated salt-water pool, the rooftop is THE space to entertain. With multiple open areas and some tucked away spaces, there’s a spot for everyone - whether you’re looking to dip in the pool, take in the views, host a small rooftop dinner or quietly sip on a glass of wine al fresco.
With living next door to so many restaurants and dining options, you might be concerned about keeping off all of that potential extra weight...enter: Fitness Center. The HIIT inspired studio features 3 Peloton bikes, Omnia 8 multi-station functional trainer and all of the cardio and conditioning equipment to whip you into shape.
